This month, while on a brief hiatus from my travel gig in Wisconsin, my kitchen will be filled with beautiful floral cookie orders. During this time,”Mr. Baked. “ and I also snuck away to Montana for a gorgeous mountain wedding.
Naturally, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for a little official bakery field research. (It’s a real thing if I say it is. 😉)
I wandered through fields of wildflowers, admired every color palette Mother Nature could dream up, and mentally filed away petals, textures, and tiny details that will inevitably find their way onto cookies someday.
The only downside? The mountains weren’t especially interested in helping me answer messages. Between the hikes and the complete lack of cell service, I was blissfully off the grid for a few days. If you were waiting to hear back from me, thank you for your patience!
Now I’m home for a brief visit, my icing bags are full, my camera roll is overflowing with floral inspiration, and I’m so excited to bring a little bit of Montana’s magic to this month’s cookie orders.
