The Green Teahouse

The Green Teahouse THE GREEN TEAHOUSE was inspired by two brothers and a sister's passion for unique and premium teas. In 2009, The Green Teahouse was established.

Did your family cook tea like this growing up?🫖

Hi I’m Ting, I grew up watching my grandma simmer tea and herbs on the stove. It was simply part of everyday life in China 🪴

With so many recent conversations about food safety—from parasite concerns in salads to the importance of drinking boiled water—I’ve found myself even more grateful that I kept this tradition after moving to America.

Today, I’d love to share this comforting tea recipe with my American friends here💚😊

Recipe:
🍐One ripe pear (sliced)
🍃Tbsp Silver Needle White Tea
🫖 Place both ingredients in 40 Oz water and bring it to boil

🍯Enjoy with touch of honey for extra nourishment and cooling effect ☺️

One thing that surprised me after moving to America was how common tea bags are.

Hi I’m Ting 😊 Growing up in China, I rarely saw tea bags. Tea was simply loose leaves steeped in a cup or teapot.

When I learned that some tea bags may release microplastics during brewing, it made me even more grateful for the way I grew up enjoying tea.

This isn’t about making anyone feel guilty. Most of us use what we’ve always known.

If you enjoy tea every day, it might be worth taking a closer look at what’s in your cup. Sometimes the smallest changes—like choosing quality loose-leaf tea or plastic-free tea bags—can make a difference.

I’d love to know: Did you grow up drinking tea bags or loose-leaf tea?

Sometimes I need this reminder too.

We’re always rushing...
Rushing to work.
Rushing home.
Rushing through meals.
Rushing to the next task.
But life keeps passing whether we hurry or not.

What if, instead of rushing through today, we slowed down enough to actually notice it?

A warm cup of tea.
A quiet breath.
A few moments with the people we love.

These little pauses often become the moments we remember most.
Today, I hope you’ll give yourself permission to slow down. 🍵💚

What’s one thing you’ll slow down and enjoy today?

Skip the bitterness and enjoy green tea the refreshing way. 🌿

Cold brewing slowly extracts the tea’s natural sweetness and delicate floral aroma while creating an incredibly smooth cup.

Recipe:
🍃 4g loose green tea
💧 400ml cold filtered water
🧊 Refrigerate for 12–24 hours

Prepare it before bed, and you’ll wake up to a naturally refreshing drink with gentle, sustained energy to start your day.

Hi this is Ting, for the past 16 years I have been enjoying sharing my knowledge of loose tea with my American friends and customers 😊

Have you ever tried cold brew tea? Let me know in the comments! 💚

One day, I may no longer be able to see the beauty around me, hear the rain, feel the gentle breeze on my skin. I don’t want to wait until that day to truly appreciate it all.

Today, I’m choosing to notice the beauty that has always been here ☺️

Hi I’m Ting, I’ve been hand-crafting this Pink Cherry Cider White Tea for over 16 years.

The sweet cranberry and cherry-filled aroma, the subtle sweetness of white tea, and the gentle sound of blending always remind me that I’m blessed to still have the ability to notice these simple, beautiful things🥰

I hope this little behind-the-scenes moment encourages you to slow down and appreciate the beauty in everyday rituals.

Have you ever found joy in the little things?

With love,
Ting 💕

Slowing down is one of the healthiest things you can do for your body. 🤍

Taking a few quiet moments to pause may help lower cortisol, your body’s primary stress hormone, and encourage a greater sense of calm and well-being.

This is your gentle reminder to slow down today. This moment will never come again, so take a deep breath, sip your favorite tea, and be fully present. 🍵✨
