Today, my heart is Home 🇨🇴

Cali, Colombia, the place where I was born and raised, faced a terrible tragedy today.
Watching my city experience such a devastating earthquake from thousands of miles away has been beyond heartbreaking. The helplessness that comes with being so far away from mines is consuming.

So this week, I want to turn some of what I’m feeling into HELP.
A percentage of our sales will go directly to Cali, to support relief efforts and provide essential supplies to those affected.

There are already several donation efforts underway, but we have decided to make ours very personal. The funds we raise will go directly to my family in Cali, who will purchase the supplies that are most urgently needed and personally deliver them to those affected. They are in the heart of Cali, incredibly close to the areas impacted by this tragedy, and will be able to help where help is needed most.

Thank you to this amazing community for always showing up for Luna. Today I’m asking you to help me show up for the place behind who I am.

8 months ago today, Luna Café opened its doors for the very first time and welcomed you into my little corner of the world.

These months have been more than we could have ever hoped for. This community has welcomed us with so much kindness, support, and encouragement, and I am incredibly grateful for every person who has walked through our doors.

To our regulars who have become friends, and to every new face we get to meet each day, thank you!! Every visit has helped make Luna what it is today.

We’re already looking forward to celebrating our first year, and hopefully many more after that.

I guess now it’s my turn.
I’m Claudia, the hands, heart, and mind behind Luna Café.
The culinary and hospitality industry wasn’t my first path, but life has a funny way of leading us exactly where we’re meant to be. After a series of life-changing events, I found my way here and never looked back.
Born and raised in Cali, Colombia, I’m a first-generation immigrant carrying with me the flavors, traditions, and stories that shaped me. Through food, I hope to share a small piece of where I come from and create a space where people feel welcomed.
When I’m not at Luna, you can usually find me at home with my cats, spending time outdoors, under the sun or planning an adventure.
My favorite drink on the menu is the simplest one: a hot cup of black coffee. Just like many of life’s best things, it doesn’t need much to be special.
I love a good hug, and inviting conversation or just about anything that allows me to interact with people, so if you see me around, feel more than welcome to say Hi!
