Mother’s Day weekend was amazing 🫶🏽✨ I am beyond excited to be back in the game and have LINES again 🥹

✨Goddess Confession time:

When I was stuck in that horrid purgatory phase of waiting on the county….

I got a job at Chipotle 😬😂

For the short time I worked there, I took notes on how corporations operate successfully and met some really amazing people. (Not just saying this because my coworkers thought I was 23😂😂)

To my amazement, my previous manager and coworker drove all the way out from Gig Harbor to support Coffee Goddess and it honestly meant so much to me I definitely cried 🤣

Life is so wild in how the unexpected moments can bring the best connections🥺💛

✨It’s been one year since I put my trust into someone’s words and I have lived with that regret every single day.

However, I realized today that I never paid homage to my beginnings because I was too focused at the time on keeping myself together, supporting other people… pretending I was fine.

When I was 23, I made the leap to quit my job in Tacoma and risk it all opening a business out of the love of coffee and the dream to be able to see my customers again.

Some people have been there since day 1- when my husband, Antonio Marquez would come with me to work 5am-4pm and he was cashing people out for me because I was too busy. (We wouldn’t talk to each other for the first hour of our morning until we had our coffee 😂)

-We had a gender reveal party at the shop when we found out we were expecting Miss Kora 🥰

-We survived through the 2020 shutdown, 7 months into business

-I broke the floor with the original 8’x10’ shop with my inventory and killed the espresso machine with the sheer volume of shots pulled 🤣

-The lines that wrapped around the gas pumps gave “getting your steps in” a whole new definition 😂💛

-Dressing up for each Christmas and being able to experience the generosity of people.

This shop started everything for me. The connection with my amazing customers who supported me through SIX YEARS (or longer!!), the ability to support my family, the rare opportunity to actually enjoy what you do, all came with this beautiful little shop.

I am so grateful for all of the memories and communal connections that this coffee shop and regulars gave me🥺 Its definitely home for my heart.

The best part of my beginning? I can’t wait to get another and shop in Port Orchard to do it all over again 💛 (maybe minus a baby tho😂)
