I remember this storm!!! I was solo hiking and spent the night 6000 feet up on Methow Pass. 7000 lightning strikes were recorded that night! It was insane and it was a terrifying experience. Did it end my backpacking and hiking? Nope. I was back out there the following weekend😀.
