Pure Joy Ice Cream is a small scoop shop located in downtown Siloam Springs, Arkansas. All of our ice creams and sorbets are made using pure, natural ingredients, often from local farmers and producers to create bold and delicious natural flavors. We make everything ourselves, from our brownie mix-ins, to our house-made smoked salt bourbon caramel swirl, to our house-made Mexican chamoy sauce.

It is peak pawpaw season right now and we are getting fruit weekly from our friend and long time pawpaw supplier, Ron Eby. We have our Pawpaw + Vanilla ice cream and our Pawpaw + Lime sorbet available at both shops right now along with our pawpaw caramel sauce and our brand new pawpaw syrup for flavoring limeades, margaritas, iced tea … you name it!

We are also just 2 weeks away from the Boston Mountain Pawpaw Festival in Chester, AR and hope to see you there!

Join us this Friday, August 14th, 6:30 PM at Olive & Opal in downtown Siloam Springs to taste fresh pawpaws and talk about growing pawpaws in your community. Matt will share his knowledge from 6 years of processing pawpaws into pawpaw ice cream, sorbet and more. Come learn how processing the fruit into pulp turned into saving and stratifying thousands of seeds, then germinating, planting, grafting, guerrilla planting and now finally starting micro orchards around his community. Everyone who attends will have the chance to taste fresh pawpaws and will receive 20 pawpaw seeds to take home and start their own journey of bringing pawpaws to the people! There will also be pawpaw syrup, pawpaw caramel sauce, pawpaw merch and pawpaw trees available for purchase.

We have something super special right now available only at our scoop shop in downtown Siloam Springs. A single-cultivar batch of our Pawpaw & Lime Sorbet using 100% Chappell Pawpaw pulp from fruit grown by Bob Johnson of Nektar Flow Farms and processed by our founder, Matt Feyerabend and the founder of the Pawpaw Festival in Paw Paw Illinois, Austin Cliffe. The Chappell Pawpaw cultivar is known for it’s exceptional flavor with it’s creamy and sweet banana-pineapple like flavor which has translated wonderfully into this very limited batch of our sorbet. With this weather it won’t be around long!
