Here we are, over a decade into our gluten free journey. 🩷

RyleighCakes didn’t start as a business; although, that was always in the back of my mind. It really started as a promise.

In the beginning of 2015, Ryleigh was diagnosed with celiac disease at just 4 years old.

I’ll never forget the call that turned our lives upside down… but in the best possible way.

Growing up in a family where holidays meant gathering, and food was how we connected, I knew I had to figure it out.

I was determined to make sure she never felt left out… that she always had something equivalent to everyone else at the table.

Over the years, that turned into learning, testing, failing, recreating, and sometimes making things even better than the original, just on a gluten-free scale.

What started as something for her quickly became something I could offer to others.

I’ve had the opportunity to create for children and families with all kinds of dietary needs, always with one goal in mind:
inclusivity.

No one should feel like they’re missing out.

RyleighCakes has always been about more than baking and it's so exciting to be able to share that with our local community.

I'm currently at BeauxJax Crafthouse, and I just ordered the Game Day Nachos—absolutely incredible. They're loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, melted cheese and just the right amount of spicy kick to keep things exciting. The portion is generous, definitely shareable, but so good I might not want to! The atmosphere here is energetic and laid-back, with a great mix of locals and good music in the background. The staff has been super friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Between the food, the vibe, and the service, BeauxJax is definitely living up to the hype.

Diagnosed with celiac disease at a young age, Ryleigh quickly learned that gluten-free doesn’t have to mean flavor-free. With the support of her mom, the two spent years combing store shelves, reading every label, and recreating childhood favorites—gluten-free style. What started as a mission to make sure Ryleigh never felt left out became something so much more: a shared passion, a kitchen full of love, and now, a business with heart.

At just 14, Ryleigh is the proud owner of RyleighCakes—a gluten-free dessert shop serving up joy, inclusion, and seriously delicious treats. With nearly a decade of trial, error, and sweet success behind her, she’s proof that food restrictions don’t have to be limiting—they can be empowering.
