Did you get a slice today? And the real question is… did it make it home, or did you eat it in the car? 👀

If you’ve already eaten it, tell me what you thought! I need to know if this is one I’ll be making on repeat all fall or if it was a one-and-done situation.

Saturday sweets are ready! 🍰

The 415 Bakery Stand at 415 Lake Street is OPEN NOW until noon, so come on down and let’s get your weekend properly stocked with sugar.

Cake slices are chilling in the fridge
Meringues & toffee are on the shelf
All the other little goodies are hanging out on the cabinet and across the way

AND because apparently I need to make it even harder for you to resist…

Tomorrow’s 415 Bakery Stand lineup is looking a little like a “get it while you can” situation.

🍰 Cake slices:
• 1 Sweet Potato & Pecan Cake
• 2 Wedding Cake (almond)
• 3 Chocolate Doberge
• 1 Sweet Potato & Pecan Pavlova

And then we’ve got the confection situation:

• Regular toffee
• Almond toffee
• Vanilla meringues
• Pumpkin spice meringues
• A couple containers of maple candied pecans
• Several containers of maple candied almonds
• And these homemade marshmallows that, quite frankly, y’all are sleeping on. I don’t know how to make you understand what you’re missing. 😂

The 415 Bakery Stand will be open tomorrow from 9:30–12, so come see me before I pack up the kitchen and disappear.

Any leftover cake slices will make their way to Cuban, and the remaining confections will apparently become road-trip provisions because we’re headed to Louisville next week for Bourbon & Beyond.

Which means there will be NO treats, sweets or cake slices next week.
So stock up tomorrow. Your future self will thank you.

Well, that’s a wrap! Cakes and confections are all made, sliced, packaged and ready to go.

The 415 Bakery Stand at 415 Lake Street is stocked and waiting on you! Today you’ll find cake slices, pavlovas and lots of little fall-inspired confections to stock up on.

🍂 At the stand today:
• Chai & vanilla marshmallows
• Vanilla & pumpkin spice meringues
• Toffee
• Maple candied pecans & almonds
• Cake slices
• Pavlovas

I’m loading up the car with more cake slices and pavlovas and heading to Cuban in just a minute, so those should be on their shelves around 1pm.

Fall has officially made its way into the bakery stand. 🍂

Tomorrow at the 415 Bakery Stand, I’ll have some new fall-inspired treats waiting for you:

House-made marshmallows — vanilla and chai, perfect for hot chocolate, coffee or tea.

Maple Candied Almonds & Pecans — sweet, maple-y and crunchy with just the right amount of fall.

Chai Meringues & Vanilla Meringues — light, crisp and melt-in-your-mouth.

Toffee — because apparently we can’t have a Sweetport fall lineup without it.

And yes, there will be cake slices tomorrow, too! Those won’t make their appearance until around 2ish, and I’m hoping it will be wedding cake, chocolate doberge and sweet potato & pecan but ya just never know. I am also hoping I can finish the caramel apple pecan pavlovas and sweet potato pavlova. I’ll confirm tomorrow.

The stand will be stocked tomorrow morning with confections and slices early afternoon then I will deliver slices to Cuban.

What’s cooking in the Sweetport kitchen today?

I’ve got sweet potatoes on the counter, and quite a few of them have already met the knife.

But what are they becoming?

I’ll give you a hint: we’re leaning into fall flavors, there’s some spice involved, and these sweet potatoes are about to get a little more interesting.

Fall may not be showing up outside just yet, but we can at least invite it into our cups. ☕️🍂

These are my house-made chai infused marshmallows—soft, fluffy and filled with warm chai spice. Perfect for topping hot chocolate, melting into your coffee, or making a cozy cup of tea just a little more special.

And tonight, I’ll be doing a little double taste testing because these need to meet their match: my from-scratch hot chocolate. One cup with a chai marshmallow, one cup with a vanilla… purely for research purposes, of course. 😉

Basically, if Mother Nature won’t give us cooler weather, we’ll just have to drink fall until she gets the hint.

House-made marshmallows are coming back to Sweetport! 🤍

Because sometimes hot chocolate, coffee or tea just needs a little something extra.

I’ll have the classic vanilla marshmallows, and I’m thinking about adding a chai-spiced version too — soft, fluffy, lightly spiced and basically a cozy little hug in marshmallow form.

And yes, I know it’s still approximately the surface of the sun outside. 😂 But remember we are going to start summoning Fall starting now!

🍂 Fall is coming to Sweetport…

It may not feel like Fall around here yet, but I’ve decided we might just need to summon it ourselves.

So I’m pulling out the cardamom, warming up the spices, and getting ready to make some fall-inspired confections for next week.

Maybe if we make enough buttery, maple-y, pecan-y, chai-spiced goodness, Mother Nature will finally get the hint and give us some cooler weather.

This little jar is just one of the clues…
