One cup of Chè Thái stayed with me long after my trip to Vietnam. 🇻🇳💜

I still remember the bright pandan jelly, tropical jackfruit, creamy coconut milk, chewy bites, and all the different textures layered together in one cup. It was one of those desserts that made me stop and think, I want to remember this.

So I started wondering…

What if I could capture that same feeling in a Sweet Dream Bakes dessert?

The result is our Pandan Jackfruit Nougat Crisp—a chewy pandan nougat filled with tropical jackfruit, toasted coconut, longan, almonds, and crisp crackers, inspired by one unforgettable cup of Chè Thái.

Every dessert has a story. This one just happens to begin in Vietnam. ✨

What if your favorite café drink became cake? 🥭🍵

One of my favorite things to make at home is tea and fruit drinks, so this summer I wanted to capture that feeling in cake. 🍰💜

Introducing the Mango Honey Jasmine Cake Parfait—layers of soft vanilla chiffon, fresh mango, mango purée, honey jasmine tea jelly, whipped cream, and crispy white chocolate pearls. Bright, refreshing, and made to taste like biting into a perfectly ripe mango with a sip of honey jasmine tea.

One of my favorite parts is all the different textures. Soft and fluffy cake and cream, bouncy honey jasmine tea jelly (made with agar, so it’s gelatin-free!), juicy ripe mango, and crispy white chocolate pearls for just the right contrast. I love building desserts that surprise you with every bite.

This is the first in a new collection of tea-inspired cake parfaits, and I’m already dreaming up more flavors. I’m also excited to bring these playful textures and flavor combinations into future celebration cakes and wedding desserts—sometimes the best cake ideas begin in the smallest cups. ☕️🍵🧋

It’s been so much fun seeing these fly off the shelf over the last two days. There are only a few left for tomorrow at Anh Oi Bakeshop!

🍌 NEW COLLABORATION 🍌

One of Anh Oi’s most beloved cookie flavors has a new twist.

Introducing Fried Banana Nougat Crisp, inspired by Anh Oi’s fan-favorite Fried Banana cookie and created in collaboration with Vince.

Each bite combines chewy banana nougat with roasted peanuts, almonds, dried banana slices, black sesame seeds, and crisp crackers for a nostalgic take on a flavor so many of you already love.

Available exclusively at Anh Oi while supplies last.

One month ago, Sweet Dream Bakes found its first wholesale home.

What started as pop ups, custom orders, and late-night baking sessions became something much bigger: seeing my products on a shelf and sharing them with a new community.

This journal captures a few moments from opening week at Anh Oi—from the soft opening, to the grand opening celebration, to the family and friends who helped make it all possible.

One of my favorite parts wasn’t just seeing it all come together. It was watching people discover these sweets, hearing them connect with the stories behind them, and seeing the shop come alive.

Sweet Dream Bakes was built around the flavors I grew up with and the stories that shaped me. Seeing those flavors represented in Seattle meant more than I expected.

It’s a reminder of how far this little business has come—and how much more is possible.

A huge thank you to Vince and the entire Anh Oi team for believing in Sweet Dream Bakes and giving us our first wholesale home. 🤎

And to my family, friends, and customers—thank you for showing up, cheering me on, and being part of this journey.

“The mountain is out!” ⛰️🩵

Every Seattleite knows the feeling. The clouds part, Mount Rainier appears, and suddenly everyone is stopping for photos 😆

This summer, I’m partnering with Dash of Soy Culinary School to host a Mount Rainier Cake Painting Workshop inspired by the majestic mountain that watches over so many of our Seattle adventures.

We’ll spend the afternoon using cake as our canvas to paint edible Mount Rainier landscapes, while creating beautiful layered drinks to sip along the way—part cake workshop, part café experience, and all about slowing down and enjoying the creative process.

As Seattle welcomes visitors from around the world this summer, it feels like the perfect time to share a little piece of the Pacific Northwest through cake, creativity, and community.

The kind of snack I keep reaching for every time I walk by.

Sweet, salty, crispy, lightly chewy — all in one bite.

I’ve always loved the balance of Asian snacks and desserts: flavors and textures that keep you going back for another piece without feeling too heavy or overly sweet.

This pistachio cranberry nougat crisp is the classic flavor and the starting point for the collection — crispy biscuits folded with milky soft nougat, toasted pistachios, tart cranberries, freeze dried strawberries, and just enough savoriness to balance everything out.

From there, I love playing with different ingredients and flavors to create new combinations inspired by my travels, snacks, and Asian desserts.

The kind of thing that disappears faster than you expect ✨

Thank you so much for all the love and support on the announcement and introduction. Sharing more of myself and my story publicly has honestly felt a little scary, but also incredibly meaningful.

Sweet Dream Bakes has always been about more than just dessert for me. It’s a way to share the flavors, memories, and little moments of joy that shaped me growing up — through Asian-inspired sweets made with care, balance, and curiosity.
