Love this photo of cousins gathered on the porch at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel. ❤️

Hope and Joe Wampler came down from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to join Jerry and Jan Morton, Gary and Carol Morton, Pam Harrison, Carla Alexander, and Sandra and Jon Dowling, all from Savannah.

Their mothers — and grandmothers — were sisters, so there’s a whole lot of family history in this picture.

What a special time together, and a great reminder that some of the best memories are simply made sitting around with family.

👨‍🍳 Meet Jerry DeShazier — One of the Talented Cooks Behind Hagy’s Catfish Hotel!
Jerry started his journey with us as a busboy and dishwasher, but cooking has always been his passion! Over the years, he has mastered just about every area of our kitchen, with the broiler and griddle being his specialties!
From expediting orders and frying our famous catfish to preparing our homemade barbecue sauce, spinach dip, and those AMAZING hushpuppies, Jerry can do it all!
We are so thankful for his dedication and loyalty, including 26 years of part-time service and 18 years of full-time service! What a blessing to have someone with his experience and passion as part of our Hagy’s family!
As we like to say, “If you order it, Jerry can prepare it!” ❤️

Nine years down, and Jim was right all along! ❤️

Jim and Talana just celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary, and we always love seeing them walk through our doors. Their love story started with a healthy dose of confidence… and a whole lot of skepticism. 😂

On their very first date, Jim looked at Talana and told her he was going to marry her. Her response?

“Yeah, right!”

Well, Jim definitely got the last word on that one! 😉

Nine years later, they are just as darling as ever. Talana and Jim are the kind of people who make everyone smile the moment they arrive. They are loved by so many, and it’s always a treat when we get to spend time with them.

We sure are glad Jim was right about that first date. Happy 9th Anniversary, you two! Here’s to many, many more! 🥂✨

The Cawthon family spent a beautiful day with us by the Tennessee River celebrating two very special birthdays — Barbara Cawthon’s 91st and Darrien Cawthon’s 31st!

That’s 60 years between birthday girls and a whole lot of family memories in one picture. ❤️

We’re so glad Montaveous Wade, Barbara Cawthon, Darrien Cawthon, Darren Cawthon and Yolanda McCloud chose to spend part of their celebration with us at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel.
