“Drawing inspiration from architecture, minimalism, geometry, and abstract expressionism, I create compositions that investigate rhythm, repetition, texture, and the emotional potential of space. Through layers of acrylic, palette knife work, and gestural mark-making, I build surfaces that reward closer observation. Repetition serves as both a visual and philosophical tool, revealing subtle variations that emerge through process, patience, and restraint. Influenced by a lifetime spent in movement, from competitive athletics to performance and film, I approach painting as an extension of that experience, balancing control with spontaneity.”
