Let’s talk about icing…
Most people don’t realize how much time goes into just making the icing colors for decorated cookies. It’s not as simple as grabbing a few colors and mixing them up. For my 3 sets, it took me 3.5 hours just to make the colors and consistencies.
You’ll notice different shades of the same color because even the slightest tone variation can change the entire look of a set. Achieving those subtle differences takes time, patience, and a lot of mixing (and re-mixing).
This is one of the many reasons why my cookies are premium priced. You’re not just paying for a cookie, you’re paying for the hours of behind-the-scenes work, attention to detail, and custom artistry that goes into every single set.
So the next time you see a perfectly matched cookie palette, just know: that color magic didn’t happen by accident!
