It's time for Alma to party!

We will be closing the restaurant on Saturday October 3rd for dinner service; we will be open for brunch until 3:00pm. We will also be closed all day on Sunday October 4th.

Our staff works hard each and every day to take care of every person that walks through the doors. We want to take a weekend to celebrate and thank those who do the hard work.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support! We look forward to being back open and serving you on Wednesday the 7th!

Hi this is ME-Chef Mary Ellen. I am thrilled to be able to attend the 31st James Beard Foundation Chef Bootcamp for Policy and Change. This is the first time a WV Restaurant Chef has attended.
Many of you know my passion for feeding neighbors in need and lifting up the stories of the immigrants of Appalachia. I look forward to discussing and brainstorming about these and other policy topics with this group of phenomenal, passionate chefs!

Thia is the time of year we most love cooking in our kitchen. The changing season bring so many comfort flavors and memories to us!

For instance, our Braised Bison Short Ribs gets reinvented this weekend with a touch of spiced local apples. Pickled and slow braised in our home brew of apple peels and fall spices!

What a treat to host Mike and Amy from last night! Years ago, their love of Appalachia inspired our hearts so much, it led to the opening of Alma Bea! We were all so giddy to be in a photo with them, even Mothman joined in!
