Matt's Ice Cream Stand I started this hobby in 2008. A fun hobby we created as a family and still run today. A fun environment to come have a eat or treat and hang out with friends.

Happy happy Tuesday, May 26, 2026. We are going to be open this week from 4 PM to 9 PM all week.

Stop on in after the ball game after ball practice or if you’re just bored at home and you don’t wanna sit there and you want something nice and cold to eat come on in and see us. We’re looking forward to all the smiles.

Pulled pork fundraiser today under the big white tent in front of The Body Shop Fitness Center today in Shell Lake. Serving today, Saturday, May 23rd from 11 AM till 2 PM or when we’re out of product.

Come on out for a pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, baked beans, lemonade, or water, and choose between an ice cream cone or a shave ice from Matt’s Ice Cream Stand for dessert for only $10 a plate suggested donation.

All proceeds go to the Shell Lake Chamber of Commerce for the July 3 fireworks and street dance event. 🎆

5 hours of working flower beds with new top soil, new plants in and seeds for our flower pollinating friends and we are finished.

Time for a 1/4 lb all beef hotdog from the stand. I have always loved hotdog (yes I know what they were made of) but these 1/4 all beef dogs are the bombdoggity. New word!

I can’t wait for everything to be in bloom this summer to go sit in the sitting area and enjoy the beauty.

Oooooo opening is around the corner.

What a beautiful day God has blessed us with to be able to get the work completed. Great weather, great music and the time to give thanks for the physical abilities to do the work. Mental health is still in question but we all have to be a little crazy to function in this world 🙂 let the crazy be a positive.

It’s getting a little warmer, but not quite warm enough to open the ice cream stand. This coming weekend, May 16 and May 17, we will be open from noon to five for our soft opening. Come on in and say hi to our new employees. They’re itching to learn how to make you your summer treats.

I also just wanna take this moment to think each and every person that comes out and makes Matt‘s ice cream stand part of your summer fun.

It’s getting closer to opening date!

Saturday, May 16, 2026 is our summer soft opening. 12noon till 5pm both Saturday and Sunday, May 17.

My dad and I went and picked up the Ice cream machine from being rebuilt over in Minneapolis. Had to take him to my favorite burger place, Shake Shack since we were so close.

Marlee and I are busy cleaning and organizing already.

1 month seem like a long ways away but there is always so much to do. Putting new top on the pergola, new summer flower plantings, painting to spruce up the seating area and the pre opening detail cleaning and sanitation of the entire ice cream stand. Busy, busy, busy 😁

Looking forward to seeing all of our loyal customers and all the new customers. Tell one tell all.

We have for many years now been teaming up with the Shell Lake Public Library with their summer reading program.

One of the prizes for the participants of the program get a free shave ice after completing a certain amount of reading.

This year over 35 participants redeemed their prize.

It is such an honor to be part of such a wonderful program for our community.

Get out and READ.

Welp there goes summer of 2025.

We are officially CLOSED for the season.

On a huge positive note…….so many people came out on “Give back to the workers” Monday the sales were amazing! The kids will be very, very happy as we celebrate at the end of the year pizza and bonus party!

What a great year of serving some treats to our many, many customers.

Thank you each and every individual and family that stopped to make our ice cream stand part of your summer fun time. We are so very blessed to have so many amazing people to be part of our summer family.

We want all of you to know you are so much more than just a sale. Each and every one of you allow our small family business to continue to be a success and offer something back to our community that we absolutely enjoy.

Next year we will be celebrating our 17th year in business.

So with this being said, I bid a fair farewell until we see you again in the summer of 2026.
