DINER MISTAKES PORCELAIN BUST FOR HUNGRY PATRON

GEORGETOWN - Milano’s in downtown Georgetown is known not only for its authentic Italian cuisine but also for its remarkably lifelike artwork. Last night, the restaurant’s reputation for realism led to an unusual incident when local man Michael Crisp attempted to feed a breadstick to one of the porcelain busts.

According to witnesses, Crisp had been enjoying dinner with his wife when he noticed a bust seated at a nearby shelf that appeared to be looking longingly at his basket of breadsticks. In a moment of generosity, he offered one of the sticks directly to the sculpture.

Fellow diners reportedly gasped, while the bust remained stoically in place, maintaining its eternal silence. “I honestly thought it was a new kind of interactive dining experience,” Crisp said afterward.

Restaurant staff confirmed that the busts are purely decorative and have never shown any appetite, though some customers continue to report mild confusion during busy dinner hours.
