Things are changing in Shawnee!
New medical services coming to Shawnee is a big deal. The reopening of the Tecumseh Theater is a big deal. Amanda spearheading the restoration of Elaine's Garden is a big deal. And having nearly 7,000 followers on a small-town tavern page is a big deal.
We are incredibly proud of the momentum building in this historic community and the people working every day to make it stronger. That's why we're sharing these stories with all of you.
Please help us spread the word by SHARING this post! Share what is happening in Shawnee, invite your friends to visit, and help us tell everyone that this historic coal town is once again becoming a very big deal in Southeast Ohio.
The best days for Shawnee are still ahead.
Ribbon cuttings do not get much better than this.
A major healthcare provider choosing to invest in Shawnee, Ohio, is a tremendous win for our community and all of Southeast Ohio. The turnout for the ribbon-cutting ceremony was incredible and a testament to what can be accomplished when organizations and local leaders work together toward a common vision.
This milestone would not have been possible without the commitment of Genesis HealthCare System to expand services in Southeast Ohio, the support of JobsOhio through OhioSE, and the leadership of former Mayor Bev Trovato, along with Council members George Biggs, Kate Summers, Deb Hutmire, and Mike Trovato. Their vision, dedication, and collaboration helped welcome Black Diamond to Shawnee and laid the foundation for the revitalization efforts we are seeing today.
Of all the accomplishments achieved by the Black Diamond family of companies, this is perhaps the one we are most proud of. Seeing meaningful investment return to Shawnee and improve the quality of life for local residents is exactly why we chose to invest in this historic community.
This is a great day for Shawnee.
