Our space is going to to host a bake sale with coffee and other drinks on July 4TH put on by Small Towne Preservations Inc. all profits on the day will go towards the continuing work on the Prindle House bowling alley project.

Plan on stopping by for a cool drink or a piece of pie :)

On Tuesday, May 7 a tornado ripped thru the Darien, WI countryside. It ended up destroying the indoor arena and part of the barn at Ed & Sandy Anderson’s Five O Stables. It has been a second home and family to me for over 8 years. It a pure miracle that no horses or people were injured and for that we are so forever thankful! I truly believe that they had several guardian angels looking out for them as not long before the tornado hit, the arena was full of horses & riders.

The horses have been evacuated and are now temporarily residing at several different farms in the area. While it hurts to break up the “herd” even temporarily, their safety was paramount; however, the loss of not having them at home weighs heavily on Ed & Sandy. We are thankful for how wonderful Ed & Sandy’s family, friends, the horse community and the Five O Barn Family were to step up and help with the placement of the horses on very short notice.

The loss of the barn and arena is devastating and immeasurable as it has been in Sandy’s family for decades and her father built the arena for her. So many memories were made in that arena for lot of us over the years. But I believe that like a phoenix rising from the ashes, so too will the Five O Barn and arena.

Ed & Sandy have helped so many horse people over the years – with their training, lessons and showing. And even if you weren’t a client of theirs, they have also been known to help others at shows by offering guidance, support, friendship and even a cup of coffee. Now it is our turn to help them out.

So many people have asked about how to make donations to Ed & Sandy to help with the rebuilding costs. Rather than do a Go Fund Me Page (which will take close to 30% of the donations), we have set up a bank account to send funds directly to Ed & Sandy. This way 100% of donations will go directly to them. We have also set up a Paypal Account and Venmo Account for them should you decide to donate that way.

Hi! It's been a little while!
We have decided to give the coffee shop another go! We are not sure on opening dates yet, but we are planning out the reopening and products we will offer. Our space is going to be for the coffee and tea enthusiast, and the average consumer. We will have coffee supplies, tea supplies as well as bulk products for sale. The counter will be serving coffee, tea and a few other fun drinks :) our menu will consist of the most decadent pies, desserts and other treats.

Stay tuned as we map things out. We hope you all will help us add a long term cornerstone business to downtown Sharon

We just wanted to pop in to say hi and let everyone know what's up.

We still do not have a reopening plan at this time. We appreciate all the suggestions and ideas. It's not easy opening a food service business on a good day, let alone the current economic situation.

We want to offer the great products and coffee we have spent hours and hours sourcing. We want to give our little town a taste of the big city coffee life without having to leave town. It's been a dream of ours since our first project ever came in to our dreams.

Well, this is a hard post to make.
Today is our last day of regular hours. We are closing. Maybe temporary, maybe permanently.
We appreciate those of you who have frequented our location and we enjoyed the great conversations over the best coffee Sharon has ever experienced. This decision isn't easy.
What hurt us the most was having to let our employees know that today was it. With all the hate spewed at us, they are hurt the most. One just trying to work towards her first apartment and the first job ever for the other. That's what we do, help people get a start, get a hand up, get started on their journey through life.

Share this post with your friends and family to remind them that Sharon has more businesses than the ice cream shop and we really would prefer to not have to clean up your ice cream shop spills and messes. Our building is greatly impacted by the opening of the ice cream shop due to our vicinity and the number of village benches and trash cans placed alongside our building. Nobody comes through and cleans up the spills, we have to. Then we have to deal with the overabundance of Wasps and bees.
