Our community here at The Heavenly Roast is one of the things we treasure most — so we want to share something close to home with you.

On May 28th, Karen and Scott — the family behind The Heavenly Roast — had their property in Newport hit by catastrophic flooding. In a matter of hours, years of work were swept away. Because no disaster declaration was issued for this flood, there is no state or federal grant money available to help with the cleanup. The cost of demolition and debris removal falls entirely on them.

Karen and Scott are doing what they always do — rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. Neighbors and Green Mountain Land Solutions are donating their time and equipment to help. What they need is help covering the hard costs: hauling, demolition, and debris removal.
