Every oyster served at Cafe Mezz has a story that continues long after dinner is complete. Through our partnership with Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP), shells are collected, tracked, and returned to restoration efforts that help rebuild oyster habitat and restore the Chesapeake Bay.

The most inspiring part? Cafe Mezz is just one stop on a route shared by many local restaurants committed to doing the same thing.

A huge thank you to Oyster Recovery Partnership and the people behind this work. What some see as waste, they see as a resource—and because of that, thousands of oyster shells are finding their way back where they belong.

From the Bay… to your plate… then back to the Bay. Eat Oysters, Do Good! 🦪💙

Our Chef’s Additions start long before anything touches the plate…

First we find the freshest local produce… like squash blossoms and garlic scape… then we taste… and taste… and taste again!

This week’s Chef’s Addition features garlic scape pesto, langoustino and whipped goat cheese stuffed inside first-of-the-season summer squash blossoms, Prosecco battered and flash fried, with tomato bisque and fennel pollen!
