FnChips- A Salty Girls Production

Hello to our Salty Community out there!

We realized that not everyone knows about the plans we have for our property where FnChips is located. We purchased this property with the intention to renovate and then move Salty Girls over. In the interim - we decided to open FnChips to test the waters (pun intended 😜) with making some solid fish and chips. Salty Girls does not have fryers - so this was an opportunity to do some testing. And testing we did. It had a bit of a rocky beginning, but If you came in over the last 7 months you probably noticed some significant changes in the food and efficiency with how it was served. If you came in before that - and decided not to return - I’m sorry to hear that previous experience kept you from checking out all the changes we made. Restaurant owners DO care and it was a killer to see some of the reviews come in back then. Happily however - you’ve inundated us with “Best I ever had” reviews over these last 7 months and we are exponentially grateful to know the changes we made - made a difference.��

That said - it’s also what makes closing a location so hard.��

But let me tell you why we’re doing it:��

We have some big plans. If you are familiar with the property - you all know the church building. That will be renovated to make way for Salty Girls with an expanded indoor seating space, kitchen and bar. Discussions are still in the works about how FnChips will fit into that business model. The red building adjacent - is slated to become a seafood market and deli and the corner of Bell and 2nd St will become a plaza, with outdoor seating and stage for music and entertainment. Plus - we have our own parking lot, so there won't be any more trying to navigate that teeny tiny one. 😁

The intention is to create a “destination” for food, family, friends and entertainment!�

Closing is hard - but in this case - it’s to make way for exciting changes to come.�

To ALL of our amazing supporters - THANK YOU!! Today will be our LAST DAY. I know, I know - boo! But we've had an amazing opportunity to get into this part of the project earlier than expected!!

We will post updates here, and on our Salty Girls Page so you can follow the progress with us. It's an adventure, and we'e happy to have you along for the ride.

Thanks again - for all your support. Please come see us at Salty's through the fall and winter. We're planning on having some interesting new offerings during this time.

To our Fn - Salty Friends out there:
We are planning on CLOSING FnChips to start focusing on the renovations that will allow us to move Salty Girls over. As business owners - it's always hard to make the decision to close, because 1) we miss you (the most important factor) 2) we want to keep our team employed and 3) we don't want you to forget about us!

Fortunately - we'll be able to keep everyone working and this move will allow us to hopefully reduce the time y'all will be waiting for us.

Although FnChips will be closed during this time - Salty Girls will continue operating in it's current location right up until the move. Unfortunately this means no Fish and Chips however - (since Salty Girls doesn't have fryers) But we're working on some fall and winter specials to make up for it. :)

Our fingers are crossed that permits, blessings from the city planners, contractors, supply availability, equipment etc - all come together and we rock this thing! :)

We'll post updates on when our last day will be.

Hi all you SALTY FnChips Friends.
We'll be closed over the next 3 weeks for "spring break" to prepare for the crazy summer ahead and organize some details for the next phase of our SALT BOX project. Thank you to everyone for your amazing support. See you back on the 24th!
