Last call for RSVPs to learn about becoming a Hospice Volunteer right here in our Seneca community. Folks, Hospice Of The Foothills really, really needs you. If this is at all on your heart, and you’re willing to give completely flexible, and limited, amounts of your time to be present to neighbors in need of friendship and companionship in their last days, please step up and call today to at least come learn what’s involved. Not only will you not regret it, you may just find that it’s what’s been missing in your life.

The event is free and will be held tomorrow, March 5, at G’s Pizza House. Members of the Hospice Of The Foothills team, including leadership and other volunteers, will be present to answer questions and help you understand how your loving support can be a true difference maker in our community.

Hospice of the Foothills desperately needs volunteers. G’s Pizza House will be hosting a volunteer information and registration event at the restaurant on Wednesday, February 5th from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Have you been trying to figure out a good place to plug yourself into our wonderful Seneca community? An opportunity to give of yourself, provide a valued service to others, and add some fulfilling dimension to your life? If that sounds like you, we strongly encourage you to join us and the Hospice of the Foothills leadership team for a free informational event we’ll be hosting at G’s Pizza House next Wednesday, March 5th. We at G’s have some personal connections and experiences with this organization, and know first hand what a powerful impact it has on both patients and their families during a very tough season of their lives. Hospice Volunteers bring present moment love and companionship that is free of history or medical engagement - which means peaceful times of togetherness when they are most needed.

Dear friends of G’s Pizza House,

We apologize for the confusion about the status of our restaurant’s operations. For clarity, we plan continue operating G’s Pizza House while we own the building. Yes, the building is up for sale, but there’s some possibility that new owners will continue to operate the beloved restaurant going forward after a sale. In the meantime, we intend to keep things going for a smooth transition if indeed someone does want to continue operating the restaurant.

We love our community, and enjoy the strong relationships we have with so many of you and others who find their way to our restaurant from beyond Seneca. Our family would greatly appreciate your continued support of our business as we continue to employ our team of young people and cover the costs of running such a business. Depending on how things play out, we could find ourselves ramping back up for the spring and summer months - and perhaps even beyond - ahead. The level of support we receive from the community will determine the viability of that.

Dear Seneca community, and friends of G’s Pizza House,

It’s been just over five years since our family began the journey to invest ourselves into joining in on the revitalization of our historic Seneca Main Street. We were determined to help set a high bar for restorations of downtown buildings by pouring our hearts, hands and funds into a complete - down to the dirt below the building - revamping of the structure. We wanted a charming space that would hold its own in any town, and be a cherished establishment making high quality food and serving our friends and neighbors well. We also created one of the few full-time residences that has ever been in downtown Seneca. I have lived in that loft apartment for the last 4 years. Downtown Seneca has truly been, as I desired, my home.

So, it is with a significant amount of sadness that I and my family announce that we have chosen to bring this chapter of our lives to an end to focus on other interests and professional pursuits. 403 East Main will be listed for sale later this week. The future of G’s Pizza House will be determined by whomever purchases the building, so there’s at least some chance that G’s will live on beyond us and continue to serve the community. In the meantime, we will continue operating limited hours and, as always, do our best to put smiles on faces through great food and service.

It has been my great honor work with our dedicated staff and to meet and serve so many wonderful friends - especially all of you “regulars” - over these years. Our lives are forever changed through these relationships and the experience of being an integral part of our beloved downtown community.
