Starting this weekend, we are now adding Sundays to the mix, so we'll be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays except for occasional closings due to events or important family occasions.

This week with Riptide Coastal BBQ...

THURSDAY, JUNE 4th
We'll be serving at Music in the Park starting at 5pm. The music will begin at 6pm, so stop by early and grab our Music in the Park special.

You'll get TWO Carolina Pulled Pork Sliders and a bag of Cape Cod Kettle Chips for only FIVE BUCKS!

While normally held in People's Park, the lawn isn't yet ready, so this week's performance will be held just down the street along the canal. Located right outside our prep kitchen (next to Fall Street Brewing), you can't miss us. :)

We'll set up and serve at 5pm!

FRIDAY, JUNE 5th
Returning to our 106 Fall Street location, we'll be serving our full menu from 4pm-8pm and I'll be smoking twice as much this week to help avoid a sell out. Pick from Carolina Pulled Pork, Tamed Caribbean Chicken, Hang Ten Hawaiian Chicken, or mix & match with our platter specials.

SATURDAY, JUNE 6th
Serving from Noon-8pm, we'll again have our full menu available, with LOTS more prepared!

SUNDAY, JUNE 7th
Serving from Noon-6pm with our full menu and a limited run of our popular Signature Prime Brisket.

Sold out for tonight! Thank you for the ongoing support and we'll be back this Thursday for Music in the Park from 5pm-8pm, Friday from 4pm-8pm here at Riptide, and again on Saturday from Noon-8pm (or until sold out).

I'll be making more for next week and hopefully the weather will cooperate again! :)

Prepping tomorrow's Calypso Baked Beans and Carolina Pit Beans starts with fresh veggies!

The chicken is enjoying its long marinade and the pork shoulders are slowww smoking their way to deliciousness as I write this.

Online pre-ordering is now available at https://order.toasttab.com/online/riptidebbq if you want to lock your meal up.

We sold out way faster than I anticipated today, and even though I've doubled up for tomorrow, I'm expecting us to sell out again.

If we see that trend, then we'll up the quantity even more for next week, I just have to go by historical averages as we guess our way through demand.

Our goal? To serve freshmade coastal-inspired bbq for less than you'd expect to pay with portions that fill them bellies. To keep prices low despite rising costs, we have to play this balancing act of making educated guesses. :)

Tomorrow, starting at 5pm, we'll offer a small run of our popular Coastal Comfort Bayou Chili. It won't be added to the online menu until it's ready to roll, so keep watch. Just eight bucks and we'll include a mini loaf of our Honey Cornbread along with a bag of chips.

Thank you to those who cleaned us out today, we look forward to welcoming you tomorrow. If we see the same kind of numbers, we'll be sure to amp up the quantities for next weekend!

Yikes! We're already sold out for tonight. We'll be open tomorrow from Noon until 8pm (or until sold out) and I'm making lots more for tomorrow.

Apologies to those who were hoping for Riptide tonight, we just got swarmed and sold out in 90 minutes. Guess it might be time to up how much we make on weekdays. :)

Thank you for all of your support, it's certainly encouraging that so many people have made us a repeat stop. Can't express how much it means to us all.

This Friday, we'll be open from 4pm until 8pm with our new full menu that features Carolina Pulled Pork, Tamed Caribbean Chicken, our new Hang Ten Hawaiian Chicken, and delicious housemade sides.

On Saturday, we'll have expanded hours from Noon until 8pm, also with our full menu, but ALSO with a rotated specialty addition. We'll be offering our popular Coastal Comfort Bayou Chili with Cornbread after 4:30pm.

With our daughter's high school graduation now in the books, we'll be back in action this coming Friday, May 29th!

Thank you all for your support and understanding along the way. When we say we're a small family business, we mean it, haha, and while we do close for major life events, that doesn't take away from our love for this place.

See you again this coming Friday and Saturday...and starting in June, we hope to add more weekday hours to the mix.

𝗨𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀!

1. Brisket will exit as a daily menu item and enter our Limited Run rotation where we'll feature different options on a weekly basis. In addition to brisket, we'll be rotating Carne Asada, Smoked Turkey, Coastal Comfort Bayou Chili, Babyback Ribs, Smoked Wings, and Creamy Mac 'n Cheese.

2. Our Hang Ten Hawaiian Chicken will join Tamed Caribbean Chicken and Carolina Pulled Pork as a permanent menu item. Brushed with a simmered glaze we craft with ten simple ingredients, you'll love the delicious Hawaiian vibe it brings.

3. We've added a Mix 'n Match Combo where you can get your choice of two meats on Pineapple Rice or slider buns, choice of side, choice of bagged chips, toppers, and sauce for only $14.

4. We've added a Big Kahuna Platter that includes THREE meat choices on Pineapple Rice or slider buns, choice of TWO sides, choice of bagged chips, toppers, and sauces for only $20. Great for sharing, hoarding, or storing. :)

5. Our craft sauces will be available for purchase in flask-style plastic bottles. Made fresh in small batches, you can now bring our flavors home with you. Note that our special Beachside Wing Sauce will only be available on evenings when we offer smoked wings.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗶𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗲𝘁?
I'm not totally breaking up with brisket...let's just say we have a complicated relationship.

First, beef prices keep shooting upwards. In fact, costs are up more than 25% since we opened.

Second, because our other items are more popular, brisket is the least ordered protein, resulting in considerable daily waste.

Third, after crunchin' all the numbers, we lost money on every weekday brisket and just about broke even on every weekend brisket.

People love our brisket, that isn't the issue, we're just a lil' corner BBQ place and the numbers aren't yet there to justify 14 hours of late night babysitting for a negative return. :)

As such, we will still *occasionally* offer brisket, typically on a weekend, so keep watch. Along with our other Limited Run rotations, you can expect a variety each and every week.

If you do want to indulge in outstanding brisket, you can hit the Perfect Pair in Seneca Falls (shout out to their amazing crab cakes as well), Smokin' Petes outside Geneva, Up in Smoke BBQ in Waterloo during their occasional pop-ups, or Bearded Bear BBQ & Catering in Union Springs. You'll walk away plenty happy.

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀?
Yes and no. Which in all fairness, probably means no. :) Riptide BBQ is a side quest for me...a beloved hobby that I hope evolves into something more.

With a full-time position that I love and a family that I love even more, I need to make sure that Riptide weaves through my life as seamlessly as possible.

Thanks to amazing team members, we *will* be able to open more often, but there will still be weekends when I have to close due to family obligations or the collegiate and athletic demands of our daughter.

I will always post here on Facebook, on our website, and share with everyone who signed up for email updates, so I encourage you to keep watch for upcoming dates, hours, and events.

𝗪𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵!

We'll be closed this coming weekend for our daughter's high school graduation and will reopen on Friday, May 29th.

Upon our return, we'll be introducing a few new menu tweaks...

First, our flavorful HANG TEN HAWAIIAN CHICKEN will make its permanent menu debut.

Second, our new craft BBQ sauce, Hawaiian Teriyaki, will join our family of available sauces.

Third, we will be adding TWO platter specials where you can get 2-meat and 3-meat meals along with included sides.

And thanks to my amazing team, we'll also be adding more opening days and hours beginning in June.

We appreciate all of your support as we continue to navigate this crazy economic climate and are beyond encouraged by all of your incredible feedback.
