In just a couple of months, Breezy’s by the Bay has gained more than **60 new reviews**, and today we reached another incredible milestone: 100 Google reviews!

Breezy’s is now one of only an estimated five traditional restaurants in Alaska maintaining a 4.9-star rating with more than 85 reviews

A small, family-owned restaurant right here in Seldovia opened through the dead of winter, serving our community is now being recognized among the highest-rated restaurants in the entire state.

Even with a few FAKE reviews from low life local stalkers and a tweaker homeless girl that we actually fed food and gave a sleeping bag too the overwhelming support from our real customers continues to speak louder.

We have stayed open through difficult times, and continued showing up with a smile even while dealing with negativity, rumors and attempts to tear our family and business down.

But today is not about them.

Today is about every customer who walked through our doors, traveled across the bay, flew into Seldovia, shared our posts, recommended our food and took the time to leave an honest review.

Thank you.

We will firmly remember the people who supported this journey from the beginning.

Seldovia was the starting point. Next comes our expansionand our goal is to grow Breezy’s into one of the largest family-owned restaurant franchises to come out of Alaska and as i always say Nothing will stop me.

And yes—that is BBQ on the daily menu, made fresh every single day. For now enjoy it while its there

The smash burger is what started it all. It used to be the backbone of Breezy’s, and it is one of the BEST smash burgers in the country but the best in the entire state of Alaska.

We do smash burgers like no one else because we did not copy someone else’s path. We created our own.

We spent 15 years obsessing over what makes the ultimate burger, studying food, creating sauces, testing recipes, traveling across the country six times, documenting the best places to eat, finding hidden gems, cooking alongside talented chefs, and learning what makes food truly unforgettable. We always say "a passionate person will create good food and obsessed person will create unforgettable food "

Not everyone understands the smash burger.

It is not just smashing meat onto a hot grill.

It is the blend of beef, the heat, knowing how to read the burger, watching the juices, knowing exactly when to flip, the crust, the cheese, the sauce, the timing, and the obsession behind every single step.

It is science, skill and passion.

But enough about the smash burger because as incredible as it is, the rest of this menu shines just as bright.

We also brought a one-of-a-kind cheesesteak to Alaska that is absolutely to die for.

A culinary professor wrote an entire article about it that began with:

“Breezy’s by the Bay is DANGEROUS.”

Our cheesesteak starts with four-day cold-fermented dough that is literally baked fresh to order in ovens flown in from FlorenceItaly. We load it with a special local cut of beef, our unique blend of peppers, onions and mushrooms, and premium cheese flown in from New York.

Then there is the pizza.

Four-day cold-fermented dough. House-shredded cheese. High-quality ingredients. True artisan pizza made with patience, skill and obsession.

Nothing at Breezy’s is accidental.

The BBQ turnout was so impressive, there’s not much else to say except…

Let’s run it back.
The BBQ rib sandwich may just have to earn a spot on the daily menu. House-made ciabatta bread, smoky rib meat, coleslaw, thin-sliced red onions, and pickles it was on another level.

And those whipped potatoes with house-made gravy? Next level.

The gravy had a little kick because it’s made from the juices built up from our BBQ smoked chicken. I also make our own chicken stock and roux to build that gravy no shortcuts.

Brie also whipped up a house-made Caesar salmon pasta salad, and that was a hit too.

We appreciate everyone who came out and showed love. Breezy’s BBQ is only getting better from here.

Even through selling out bbq yet again we had countless people that followed our journey, come across for food especially the pizza and our start of it all SMASH BURGERS!

No reminder needed… but hey, the excitement is here. It’s going down at Breezy’s. 🔥

These are **not your backyard uncle’s BBQ ribs**.

These are **competition-style ribs** — cooked with quality, patience, and technique. They are cooked to perfection: not falling off the bone, but tender with just the right bite.

We don’t do the basic 3-2-1 method.
We don’t use store-bought BBQ sauce.
We don’t slather overcooked ribs or chicken in sauce and call it BBQ.

Our ribs get hit with our special house sauce while they rest, bringing out that deep flavor without covering up the meat.

Our chicken gets **no sauce unless you request it** — because it’s already that juicy and flavorful on its own.

And our pulled pork? That’s on an entirely different level. This is the kind of pulled pork that has gone head-to-head against award-winning catering and BBQ businesses down in the Lower 48 — and won.

As for today’s sides, we’ll be making that call as we go. Our house-made BBQ beans are fire, but we get it — a lot of people hear “beans” and expect average canned beans. That’s not what we do here. Around here, we make food with care, not shortcuts.

Also, don’t sleep on our breakfast. We don’t advertise it as much anymore, but it’s still here — and yes, we opened up more seating.

Well, well… Breezy’s by the Bay has **2 new items available**, brought to us by a very amazing lady right here in Seldovia. 🔥

We now have **fire-roasted Southwestern sauce** available as an option for our breakfast burritos — and we’re also rolling out **loaded hash browns topped with Southwestern sauce**.
