The last two weeks have really taken a toll on me not just on my body, but on my mental health too.
As I’ve been learning more about lupus, I’ve discovered that during flare-ups, the inflammation doesn’t just affect your joints or organs.
It can affect your brain too, leading to
depression😕
anxiety😕
brain fog😕
confusion😕
feeling overwhelmed😕
fear😕
hopelessness😕
Over the past two weeks, I’ve experienced every single one of these emotions.
But today… today hit a lil different.
✨ I put on my new wig from and finally felt like myself again. I cute bald too tho😎
✨ I finally got an appointment with a rheumatologist next month👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
✨ Our business was chosen to be featured in a video representing our city and one of my favorite guys came to film us
✨ We’re taking Miss Naomi to her very first circus, and not just any circus… the 🎪
WE’RE CLOSED tomorrow, so I get a tiny break!!
✨ And I found an amazing deal on some outdoor furniture on that I just couldn’t pass up.
None of these things “fixed” me having lupus. But they reminded me that even in the middle of a flare, life still finds ways to hand you little moments of joy.
If you’re walking through a hard season, don’t stop looking for those moments. Sometimes they aren’t big miracles. Sometimes they’re just enough light to help you make it through one more day. 💜
