This morning, my sister and I were talking about how much Seguin is growing. New businesses are coming, big chains are moving in, and for a moment, we found ourselves feeling a little discouraged.

And then I looked at this picture.

This was Seguin Coffee Company when we first opened our doors in 2017. Just two sisters with a dream, a little building, and absolutely no idea how far that dream would take us.

When I look at this photo now, I don’t just see what our building used to look like. I see every early morning, every late night, every risk we took, every lesson we learned, and every person in this community who chose to walk through our doors instead of driving somewhere else.

We have come so far. We’ve watched this little place transform into something more beautiful than we could have imagined back then. And somewhere along the way, so many of our dreams actually came true.

But the funny thing about dreams is… they grow with you.

So yes, the chains are coming. Seguin is changing. And instead of being afraid of that, we’re choosing to let it push us.

We want to be better. We want to dream bigger. We want to keep creating things that make our hometown proud. Not because we’re trying to be the biggest name in town, but because this is our town too. We grew this business here, our community grew it with us, and we’re nowhere near finished.

This picture will always remind us where we started.

And this morning reminded us that it’s time to start dreaming all over again. 🤍

The dream is bigger now. And so are we.
