For those that don't know me, I LOVE BASKETBALL! I grew up in Spokane, so watching Gonzaga play college ball was a given. Over the years I have loved watching Gonzaga players make their way into the NBA. I have watched a lot of drafts because of it.

Fast forward to the 2023 draft. I tuned in to see Drew Timme and Julian Strawther(so glad he ended up with the Nuggets) move on from GU.

Little did I know I was going to watch one of my soon to be favorite players be the number one draft pick that year..GO WEMBY!!!

Wemby is not only a great basketball player he is also an avid reader. He is regularly seen carrying a book with him. The San Antonio public library currently has a "Read Like Wemby Display" to encourage fans to pick up a book too.

The finals this year have been so good. I have loved every minute of it. I'm also hoping that young fans being introduced to his love of books stretches on for years!
