Some customers become so much more than customers. ❤️

Meet Theodore! 🥹 He’s been coming to Sophie’s since we first opened, and today we got to celebrate his 3rd birthday with him! 🎂🎉

Theodore knows exactly what he likes — Ropa Vieja with rice 😋 — and he absolutely LOVES all of his Sophie’s girls. Every year, he chooses to celebrate his birthday right here with us, and that means more to our team than he’ll ever know.

Watching him grow up and getting to be a little part of his special days is exactly what makes Sophie’s feel like more than just a restaurant. We truly have the best customers. ❤️

Happy 3rd Birthday, Theodore! 🥳🎈 We love you and can’t wait for many more birthdays, hugs, and plates of Ropa Vieja together! 🇨🇺❤️

☕️ TOMORROW IS NATIONAL COFFEE DAY! ☕️

And around here… we don’t need much of an excuse for a good cup of Cuban coffee. 🇨🇺🤎

Whether you’re a Cafecito, Cortadito, Café con Leche, or Colada kind of person, tomorrow is YOUR day!

Tag your coffee buddy below 👇🏼 and make plans to stop by Sophie’s tomorrow to celebrate with us! ☕️✨

Because let’s be honest… everything is better after cafecito. 🤎

Feeling incredibly grateful today. ❤️

A huge thank you to Tiffanie Nicole with Pulse of the Heartland for taking the time to hear our story and put it into words so beautifully, and to Main Street Avon Park for thinking of us and giving us the opportunity to be featured.

Reading our journey on paper—from coming to this country with very little, to opening the first Sophie’s, growing our businesses, raising our family, and continuing to invest in the community we call home—was definitely an emotional moment. 🥹

Sometimes when you’re busy working, growing, fixing problems, and chasing the next goal, you forget to look back and realize just how far you’ve come.

Highlands County has given our family so much, and we are incredibly thankful for every customer, employee, friend, and community member who has been part of our story. ❤️

Thank you, Tiffanie, for telling our story, and thank you Main Street AP for believing it was one worth sharing.

From Cuba 🇨🇺 to Highlands County 🇺🇸… this really has become our family story. ❤️
