Dear Community,
After 33 years spanning 4 decades of consistent business, joy, hard work, and many wonderful and loving memories, we have decided to retire East West Cafe. The cafe has been sold! Stay tuned for a new concept and new restaurant!
Since 1989 when only a limited number of people in California had ever heard of hummus, or tahini, and with organic, vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free options scarce, contributing to the local culinary scene and bringing Mediterranean Californian foods to the further reaching mainstream will always be something that we will always be extremely proud of inspiring and pioneering. Providing an alternative and healthy plate of food, and supporting local wineries, growers, distributors, producers, and farms has always been at the heart of what we do. Giving working opportunities, experiences, and creating many jobs throughout the last 33 years will always be a satisfying result of being in business for so long. Our monthly rotating art shows have helped many local artists for so many years and in return provided our walls with fresh exciting art. Lastly, supporting you, our community, with countless donations to local charities and events is something that we know so many locals have appreciated, and it has always been our pleasure to do so.
We feel gracious for the opportunities and strong support given to us by our customers and we feel joy in the many faces and memories created.
