The Black & Tan Hall is a performing arts and restaurant venue.

Black & Tan Hall is a cooperatively owned performance venue and restaurant that centers local artists, serves food that nourishes the soul, and offers event space. Established as a worker-owned cooperative, we are maintaining Rainier Valley as a destination for cross cultural arts and education events. With a stage, event space, and restaurant that is both affordable and profitable, the Black & Ta

n Hall will create multiple income streams for its investors while celebrating the history of Seattle with concerts and classes. Utilizing the skills and talents of Seattle artists and teachers, the Black & Tan Hall will be open for business morning, noon and night with all-ages events that draw in the diverse communities of the Rainier Valley. With income from beer and wine sales, food, classes, and live music events, the business will turn a profit while its administration operates through consensus-based decision making.

Today we’re open for the World Cup game (no admission), try our new burgers and stay cool.

TONIGHT - ROCK THE BLOCK

This is a celebration of rock and roll and the black folk who paved the way through generations of soul, groove and grit, while also ushering in a new wave of black voices emerging from the Seattle area featuring Shaun Crawford, Seanloui, and wish.u.luv.
