Modern Carport and Awning creates the best cantilevered covers for outdoor kitchens, carports, patios, decks, (or any project). Great for new construction, perfect for retrofitting, flippers, maximizing outdoor living, etc. This project in Kirkland, WA. added a 10’ x 34’ cover for an outdoor fire pit, bbq, & seating area. Customers will be adding lights and heaters to it to make it fully useable 10 months out of the year.

Our free standing carports and awnings are great for cantilevering over existing structures using minimal effort. This unit was installed over an existing deck. The customer then added an infrared heater to make it a year-round space. Our structures are strong enough to mount heaters and lights to them.

We are finishing our DIY solar carports/awnings soon. They are very large, flexible in application and location placement. They can be connected to one another for large or small scale applications. The default size will be 23’ wide x 21’ deep x 11’ tall at the tallest point and 9’ tall at the shortest point. Like our other products, these too can be connected together to provide multiple parking structures or one stand alone structure. Contact us today to find out more. These products will be turn-key units, and will come with all necessary wiring, assembly diagrams, fasteners, and solar panels. Car charging stations will be an optional offering as well. Everything is UL approved. You will be able to build your own solar structure for your hybrid or electric car, or provide supplemental power to your home by placing one on your property for an awning. Our double flat model allows you to span distances of 18' across utilizing only 3 posts on one side. The standard size for one prefabricated unit is 18' x 19' 6" in length, and has a gently sloped roof pitch of 1' from side/side.

Furthermore, this model allows for 3' of elevation difference in installation. Perfect for use in flat or sloped driveways, patios, yards, or any place you need a freestanding cover.

Do you ever wonder about the quality of DIY products you purchase these days? What is advertised vs. what will arrive to your business/home?

At Modern Carport & Awning, our first priority is quality! Our double flat model measures 18' x 19'6", and will withstand winds of 95 mph. How do we achieve this? Our concrete footings for this model measure 3' x 3' x 4', and have 4K lbs of concrete and rebar in each one. Furthermore, each aluminum post you see here weighs 200 lbs. Quality. Our first priority!

Our products are not only INCREDIBLY durable, but are also easy to clean. This carport roof hadn't been cleaned in 10 months. Regardless, the debris and grime was cleansed to look like new again, simply by using outdoor Windex connected to a hose, and a gentle cleansing cloth on an extension pole.
