Are you a culinary enthusiast with a passion for Japanese cuisine? Look no further! Wabi-Sabi Sushi Bar & Restaurant is currently seeking a skilled Kitchen Chef to join our team in the vibrant Columbia City neighborhood of Seattle.
Position: Kitchen Chef (with dishwashing responsibilities)
Salary: $21-$24 per hour Location: Columbia City, Seattle
At Wabi-Sabi, we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional dining experience, showcasing the artistry of sushi-making while embracing the concept of wabi-sabi. Our cozy and inviting atmosphere has made us a local favorite. We are now looking for a talented Kitchen Chef who can also assist with dishwashing duties, utilizing our modern and efficient washing machine.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a variety of sushi and Japanese dishes with skill and precision
• Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations
• Assist in the washing of dishes using our state-of-the-art washing machine
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen area
• Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
• Must have a valid working permit
• Prior experience as a Kitchen Chef, with expertise in frying and grilling techniques
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for plating presentation
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $21 to $24 per hour, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and creativity.
