A piece of Seattle history uncovered! 🚧 These railroad ties were dug up during the road construction on Eastlake Avenue. From the streetcar that opened in 1893 and provided service to the Eastlake neighborhood until 1941 running from UDistrict to South Lake Union. The old photo is of the inaugural trip across the University Bridge in 1919 with the Seattle Mayor at the wheel.
