We were so happy to see yall in August for National Black Business Month and National Wellness Month! Everyone has a different definition of wellness for themselves and we want We Rise to be a comfortable place for you to be and feel well in community.

Last month we had an array of fun and inclusive events including:

• Thirsty Thursdays with our winemakers in-person;
• Drag Bingo which is free to join and vibe with our amazing Drag Queens;
• Sip & Swap where you can trade your awesome books that need a home;
• Trivia with Tim;
• Taste the Stars with Raina;
• Winemaker Dinners for an intimate look into our Winemakers’ origin stories;
• Downtown and Belltown Art Walks;
• and last, but definitely not least - our growingly popular *Vino & Vibes*

Join us on September 10th for an evening with winemaker Lisa Warr-King Packer!

After founding Woodinville's Warr-King Wines in 2011 and selling it in 2022, Lisa returned to winemaking with a new, more intimate chapter: Mana Vintners. The name is personal — "Mana" is a Polynesian word for the elemental power held within a person or place, a nod to Lisa's childhood in Hawaii. It's a fitting spirit for wines built to capture the character of Washington terroir. Meet Lisa, learn about her journey and taste some of her delicious vintages.

2023 Merlot
2023 Elemental
2023 Cabernet Sauvignon

🍷 Stop in tonight and meet Nelly Somé, the winemaker behind Mvinyo Winery. Nelly makes wine like she cooks: bold, vibrant and brimming with big flavor. After launching Nelly's African Kitchen, she couldn't find a wine that matched her food, so she made her own. The result is Mvinyo Winery ("wine" in Swahili), crafted in Walla Walla from grapes grown across Red Mountain, Rattlesnake Hills, and the Columbia Valley.

We're tasting the delicious Rafiki Rosé, Samaki Sauvignon Blanc, GoGo Merlot and opulent Eldoret Cabernet Sauvignon. Your tasting fee is applied to your bottle purchases and space is| limited so get here early! 🍷

🍷 Our next Sip & Swap Book Swap is Sept. 16th!

Because every book deserves a second life! 📚 Bring up to 3 clean, gently used books, leave a post-it note on the cover about why you loved it, then set it out on the tables, we'll have everything sorted by genre so browsing is easy. Once you've had a look around, pick out the same number of new-to-you titles to bring home. Pair your new reads with a glass from our curated wine menu.
