Seattle Met Magazine is so full of (Sugar-Honey-Ice-Tea) for writers. Just noticed they gave credit for (what I pioneered in the specialty coffee industry) to a white guy. No shade to him. But come on Seattle Met Do better we've been doing this since 07 and not one cafe was on the multi-roaster/Poly Roaster and even the coffee subscription started in 2008 at Tougo Coffee.

Dear Seattle Met Magazine,

Great story about Black American, and East African -owned businesses in Seattle. I haven't read many stories written with such a stellar lineup of businesses in Seattle.
Thanks for bringing light to the marginalized communities

That being said! I'd love to introduce you and your writer (s), Allecia Vermillion to, Tougo Coffee! Tougo Coffee has been in business in the Central District of Seattle, Downtown, South Lake Union, and Yesler Terrace neighborhoods. Our business has been around just shy of 16 years providing jobs, play areas for kids, and a host of other amenities for our respective communities. In fact, Tougo Coffee was one of the first black-owned specialty coffee retailers in America, not to mention Seattle.

I'd love to invite your writers to the cafe to have a coffee and experience our community

One last thought...It would be great to see Black Americans/ East African people writing about Black-Owned East African-Owned businesses. I have to imagine that there are some black writers at Seattle Met.
