It's a wonderful Toyoda Sushi Restaurant life.many of our friends have been coming since birth or shortly after for 35 years. So grateful and heartwarming. Charlie, Melanie and Steve, John Paul and John Wolfe, Roger and Brook Nelson, Dana Kim, Ladmer Family, Sama Family, Kashiwa Thiersch Family, Jon Herget and my own family. February 8th, 1989 our doors officially opened for business. Back then, Sushi was still a foreign/new idea to many of the U.S. which naturally, made it a slow start. Until the community highlighted us in a Seattle Times newspaper article, which quickly boosted attraction and new stomachs to feed.

35 years later we have been through recessions, pandemic, temporary closures and family losses. However, this community still continues to show the same love and support. If not more!
What a special milestone this is. But it means more because through each tough time, our Toyoda Sushi community has always been there helping us roll through the unexpected punches of turmoil to lift us up.

Cheers to a happy 35 years of laughs, love, full bellies, and being part of the Lake City (and greater Seattle area) community! It truly is a blessing. From regulars, newcomers, birthdays, first dates, anniversaries, everyone and every special occasion in between that gives Auntie Helen, Natsuyoshi, and the Toyoda Sushi family the joy and motivation to go on. Thank you so much for accepting us as part of the neighborhood all these years. We love you all so much.
