SIXTEEN YEARS! Delancey has grown into a fantastic teenager. It’s surrounded by charming, cool friends - and loves to feed these friends. Delancey drinks natural wine and bespoke cocktails. Wait, that’s illegal!

It takes a village to raise a restaurant (as the saying goes, famously) so THANK YOU for raising this baby with us. I met an actual human baby yesterday whose first outing since birth was Delancey’s sweet 16. It reminded me how many big life moments have been hosted here - weddings, first dates, birthdays, meeting strangers that became friends, the list goes on.

Here’s to at least 16 more 🥂!

A SPRING THING: imagine, if you will, lambs in the meadow, ramps and green garlic growing in the garden, these fluffy peonies on the table, and bubbles in your glass. An ode to spring. We’re making this a reality on May 19th for a special “Meadow + Market Dinner” at Delancey. Yes, you should for sure come.

Menu:
*Beef tartar, ramp aioli, egg yolk jam, potato chips
*Asparagus terrine, spring greens, fennel, ramp oil, preserved lemon vinaigrette
*Ramp pesto campenelli, English peas, fava leaves, strachiatelle
*Mustard roasted rack of lamb, ramp chimichurri, tortilla de patatas, jus
*Angel food cake, strawberry rhubarb, pink peppercorn whipped cream

I guess we’re a wings restaurant now. 🤷

These spicy, creamy, dreamy wings will be on menu at Delancey & Essex all week - or until they fly away ahahaha (as a dad, I can make jokes like this).

Dip them in a sauce made with Oregon blue cheese (it was the first Roquefort type blue cheese ever made on the west coast way back in the 50s, and it still slaps) - if you haven’t tried it before, get thee to Delancey. And of course they’ve got just enough spice from the hot sauce in our bag.

So special: Applewood Smoked Beets, Albacore Tuna, Leche de Tigre, Pickled Onions, CilantroTonight until it lasts!

We’re donating all profits from our Red Beans dinner this Monday to Second Line Arts in honor of Pableaux, who loved the city and culture of New Orleans with his whole heart.

Second Line Arts is an artist-led nonprofit in New Orleans that supports young musicians “from recess to record deals.” Feels like it captures the soul of Pableaux’s passion well.
