LEFA is closing its doors.
Ten years ago, LEFA began in the kitchen of my home in Seattle. It started with a simple idea, a lot of curiosity, and a passion for building things with my own hands. As the project grew, I built a small workshop in my backyard from scratch. That little shed became the place where LEFA really came to life. Eventually, the journey brought me to a basement in Brooklyn, where I continued building pedals and instruments that somehow found their way to musicians all over the world.
The truth is, I always approached this project with a sense of humor, curiosity, and a bit of innocence. I never had a business plan or grand ambitions. I was simply making things I loved and sharing them with whoever connected with them. I honestly never imagined LEFA would grow into what it became or reach people in so many different countries.
Everything I built came from genuine passion. I never chased trends or tried to make products just because they would sell. Every pedal, instrument, and strange idea came from wanting to create something that I found exciting, inspiring, or simply fun.
To everyone who supported LEFA over the years—whether you bought a pedal, shared my work, collaborated with me, trusted me with your ideas, or simply followed the journey—thank you. You turned something that started in a Seattle kitchen into a project that reached musicians all over the world.
What comes next is uncertain. Maybe this isn’t a final goodbye after all—just another step forward. I don’t know what the future holds, or if, when, or where LEFA might come back to life one day. But if it does, it’ll be driven by the same passion, curiosity, and joy that started this whole adventure ten years ago.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for believing in this weird little project and for being part of its story. I’ll carry that with me wherever I go. LEFA AND DESTROY FOREVER
