Well… this is pretty cool.

We’re so honored to be voted Best Family Restaurant in The Seattle Medium’s first-ever Best of the Best Northwest Readers’ Choice Awards. Seattle Medium Newspaper

The fact that this came from our community means everything. Whether you’ve joined us for brunch, celebrated a birthday, brought the whole crew, or just made us one of your regular spots—thank you. This is your award as much as it is ours.

Getting this recognition from The Seattle Medium makes it even sweeter. They’ve been showing up for Seattle’s Black community for generations, celebrating our stories, our businesses, and our people. To be recognized by a publication that’s poured so much into this community is something we’re really proud of.

Congrats to all of the other winners, and thank you to everyone who voted and continues to show us so much love.

See y’all at the table.

She is beauty. She is grace. And icons can never be replaced.

Named in honor of the incomparable Ruby Dee, this floral take on the classic Negroni is elegant, bittersweet, and beautifully composed.

Blood orange and peach wermut (vermouth) soften Campari’s signature bitter bite, while Blood Orange & Tarragon Gin (from Black-owned Common Ground Spirits) adds fragrant citrus and herbal depth.

Like its namesake, this cocktail is graceful without ever losing its strength. Timeless, refined, and worthy of every sip 🌹🍑✨️

We're proud to source our salmon from Native Candy, owned by Yakama Nation's Christina White and Will Spoonhunter. Drawing on generations of Indigenous fishing knowledge, Native Candy harvests salmon using traditional hoop-net methods, honoring both the river and the fish while bringing exceptional quality to the table.

Fresh off the river and swimming onto our menu soon, we're excited to announce that salmon season is officially here.

When salmon is this fresh, you can taste the difference.

Now that's what we call the catch of the day 🎣

Every Plate Has a Story. Every Story Belongs.
This weekend, we celebrate the stories that have shaped our industry and the people courageous enough to share them.

From preserving culinary history and honoring ancestral traditions to redefining fine dining, creating spaces for q***r chefs, mentoring future generations, and proving that authenticity is one of the greatest ingredients in hospitality, these chefs and storytellers have left an undeniable mark on food culture.

We’re honored to recognize and share our deep appreciation to Chef Mavis-Jay Sanders, Chef Gregory Gourdet, Michael W. Twitty, Chef Kristi Brown, Chef Anthony Jones, Chef Aisha Ibrahim, Chef Kareem “Mr. Bake” Queeman, and Chef Arnold Myint—not only for the incredible food they’ve created, but for the conversations they’ve sparked, the communities they’ve built, and the paths they’ve opened for those who follow.

Their work reminds us that the most memorable meals don’t just nourish us—they tell us who we are, where we’ve been, and what’s possible when everyone has a seat at the table.

Because every plate has a story.
Every story belongs.
