It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of El Diablo Coffee Co.

Our decision did not come easy, nor quickly, and we are very sad to say goodbye to the community staple atop Queen Anne. Due to Covid-19, we are unable to provide a safe environment for our employees & guests, and afford to remain open. We feel especially fortunate for the time we had in our new space. Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the transition, after our previous location was rented out from under us. We had genuinely phenomenal, one-of-a-kind customers that we thought of as family.

Our ongoing relationship with the community is what kept El Diablo open for 20 years. It is hard to believe that our time has come to an end, but we will continue to move forward. Cloud City Coffee Roasting continues to produce coffee that you can purchase online or at our sister store in Maple Leaf. Cloud City Coffee will honor all punch cards and gift cards purchased at El Diablo. Many folks from our staff now work at Cloud City, so please stop by for a familiar face and a great cup of coffee.

We miss you for real, Queen Anne, and we thank you for the opportunity to share our coffee with you. As was once said, “I’m going straight to El!”

It's been quite the week! We closed to protect our staff and encourage social distancing. However, we are still roasting once a week! Get your beans delivered to your door, with free delivery to zip codes 98103 and 98109 by yours truly!-Jill

To our valued customers:

As of Monday March 16 we will be closed. We cannot in good conscience expose our staff any longer, nor can we offer a space that exposes others.

To our valued customers:
Like everyone, we are monitoring the local situation regarding Covid-19 very closely. The following is what we are doing at El Diablo Coffee Co.:
Ensuring any employee who is sick stays home until they are well. Like all businesses in Washington state, we have paid sick leave.

Requiring additional hand washing.

Not accepting personal cups/ mugs for any beverages.

Sanitizing common areas such as the condiment bar, doorknobs, and countertops more frequently throughout the day.

Removing all toys and books from our children's area.

Asking you to utilize the Joe Mobile App ("Joe Coffee Order Ahead") to shorten your time in the cafe and have your order ready to go when you arrive.

To protect our staff and other customers, we ask that you not enter the cafe if you are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or think you may have been in contact with someone with covid-19.

We are here to be a safe space for our community, and take your health, and the health of our staff seriously.

Finally, if our business shows signs of slowing, we may need to staff appropriately and thus we may at times be shorthanded or have limited hours. We ask for your patience and remember to use the Joe Mobile App ("Joe Coffee Order Ahead").
