There is no easy way to say this, but after many months of talking and praying, we have decided to close The Cookie Basket. As a family, it is our wish to go in a different direction. I’m sure this will be a shock to many and for that I apologize, but at the end of the day we have to do what is best for us. It was our hope that a buyer would come along that had the heart to continue this business, but that just wasn’t in the cards. The last two and a half years were extremely difficult on our family due to family deaths and the stresses of owning a restaurant throughout Covid-19. It was no easy task to survive it, but in that process, this restaurant has stolen my joy…and that joy belongs to my family. We will definitely miss seeing all of our customers that have supported us the past 7 years! We could not have done it without you and you all are the only reason we have kept going. Change is not easy, but often it is necessary. It is our hope that you will respect our choice as business owners. It’s easy to cast judgement, but unless you have owned a small restaurant before then you truly have no idea how hard it is, especially during the past two years. With that being said, Friday will be our last operational day. My heart honestly has been burdened with this choice, but since we made the decision I have felt like a weight has been lifted. We are looking forward to what the future has in store for our family. We wish everyone the best!
