We had a great turnout for our annual Cruise Night this past Saturday evening at Keller's Drive In in Dallas with over 100 cool rides turning out of all colors and varieties! Understand the burgers weren't bad either! Thanks to the club members who came out and supported the event! Here is a photo of just a small part of the DACC bunch!

Looking back at 5 decades of DACC and Tri Five Chevys the entire time, this time it's 1978 and a local high school needed some '55-'57 Chevys for a high school annual photo shoot and where else would you do such a thing other than Keller's Drive In! No telling where all those students are today but 48 years ago they gathered around David Graves '55, Ray Trevathan's '57 and David Taylor's '57. And this Saturday, July 11 we make another trip for burgers at Kellers for the Cruise In! Hope to see you there!

We are now into July on our club calendar, and its club VP Greg Hedum's '55 Bel Air that graces July. This '55 is not only sharp but it's a driver and he and wife Bev did the week long Tri Five Nationals Road Trip from Dallas to Bowling Green in 2024.

Another photo from 50 years of DACC! In 1978 a number of our club members traveled to Memphis for the Classic Chevy Club Intl Convention. With it being the 250th birthday of our nation this weekend what better than this '55 Sedan Delivery with a Spirit of 1776 paint job that was one of many '55-'57 Chevys that attended this convention.

Throwback Thursday and we look back on our club's 50 years and over the past 5 decades many of our club members have had their Tri Five Chevys featured in publications. This time we remember our good friend Ray Trevathan who was considered one of the best in restoring those Chevy's we love. Here is his beautiful '57 Nomad that he restored as it was featured as the cover car for the August 1977 issue of Classic Chevy World, the publication for the Classic Chevy Club that united all the '55-'57 Chevy owners across the country. Sadly we lost Ray on July 1, 2000 at age 72.

In the past 50 years of our club, we have gathered at Keller's Drive In many times with yet another get together scheduled for Saturday, July 11th from 6-8pm. This lookback in our club's 50 year history finds us at Keller's in 1981, some 45 years ago!

The Tri-Five Nationals presented by CPP is just a little more than a month away and this '56 Chevy put together with parts from Golden Star Classic Auto Parts will be given away to someone in Bowling Green at the conclusion of the weekend's events! Fingers crossed it may come home to Texas! Are you going?

The best thing we can do as car club members is share our enthusiasm and love for our cars and support members when they need support. A big thanks to the members who came out to support our past club President Earnest Lander and his family (along with a bunch of his friends)! It was great to see him smile, his grandson Kyler Lay did a fantastic job with directing the get together and the burgers, hot dogs and drinks were great! We have you in our thoughts and prayers Earnest!
