What Guardian Angels sometimes look like. They (along with an army of countless others to whom she will be forever grateful) lifted Dorina in prayer since the moment she went into Emergency Surgery three years ago today, beginning her cancer journey. Three years of Divine Providence lighting the Valley of the Shadow. Three years of Gratitude for grace upon grace. Three years of unimaginable love poured out upon us. The shadow of the Cross weighed down upon us. But our family experienced the treasure of His Real Presence, truly with us. Thank you for all *your* prayers & love, Amendolicious family!

Just a normal sunny summer lunchtime at Amendola’s was made extraordinary when the door opened and we became the privileged hosts to missionary priest and medical doctor Fr. Rick Frechette and his friends. Fr. Rick traveled from his home of Haiti to preach at the annual St. Ann’s Novena in Scranton. His tales of death-defying rescues from brutal gangs, providing medical intervention in impossible situations, and giving dignified burials to countless dead, such that only the Hand of God could be sustaining him, mesmerized us all. What an honor and blessing to provide this modern saint and living hero with lunch.
