Today a few of us from Haggerty’s stopped by Sasquatch Inn to see our friends from the Wing Fling and we’re glad we did!

The wings were outstanding, and we also had the smoked pork nachos and a burger, everything was excellent. We got an order of Mild, Cajun and Billy’s Way. A special thank you to Sherry, Caleb, and Maddy for making us feel so welcome.

Great food, great people, and a great atmosphere. If you haven’t been there yet, we definitely recommend checking them out. Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon🍗💚

Today, the Haggerty’s family is mourning the loss of someone who meant so much to so many.

Paul Welby fought a long and courageous battle and while words can never fully express a loss like this, we want his family to know they are in our thoughts and prayers. Paul wasn’t just a cousin to several members of our Haggerty’s family he was family to all of us.

To his parents, children, siblings, cousins, friends, and everyone whose life he touched, we extend our deepest condolences.

Rest easy, Paul. Thank you for your service, your strength, and the impact you had on those around you. You will never be forgotten.

Please keep the Welby family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

Wow! What’s a weekend!

From everyone at Haggerty’s Tavern, we want to say THANK YOU!

First and foremost, a huge thank you to the Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling, especially Angeli and Syrena, for having us. Congratulations for a well organized event and all your hard work.

A special thank you also goes out to Matt and Jeff from the NEPA Chicken Wing Bulletin. If it wasn’t for including us in the Wing Madness bracket back in March none of this may have happened. That tournament introduced our wings to so many new people.

A huge thank you to Jay and his family from Genoa Wholesale Foods for being on site all weekend and keeping the wings flowing.

We also want to recognize a few people who were always willing to answer questions, offer advice, and help us prepare:

We want to recognize the incredible team at Haggertys that made everything run smooth. Danny, Keleena, Gannon, and Paola.

One of the best parts of the weekend was spending time with all of our great neighbors. Thank you to Sasquatch Inn, MeeSo Corny, R Bar and Grill (voted best Dry Rub), and Joe's Homemade Pierogies and Mini Doughnuts for making the weekend so much fun. We couldn’t have asked for better company.

To all of our friends from Lackawanna County who made the trip down to support us Thank You. Seeing so many familiar faces meant more than you know.

THANK YOU to everyone from Luzerne County and the surrounding communities who stopped by our tent, many of you for the very first time. Whether you came because someone recommended us or simply wanted to try another wing vendor, we’re grateful you gave us a chance.

Your support led to us being named Best Mild Wings, and even more humbling, receiving the 2026 People’s Choice Award.

We’ll see you back in Scranton and we’ll definitely see you next year!

Join us this Saturday & Sunday from 11 AM –7 PM at the Swoyersville Chicken Wing Fling!

Come spend the day enjoying incredible wings from some of NEPA’s favorite local restaurants, check out the amazing hot sauce vendors, grab a cold craft beer from SBC and enjoy live music both days. It’s going to be an awesome weekend for the whole family!

A huge thank you to Joe Stevens and the team at Sign Works for knocking it out of the park with our banners, signs, and table covers. Everything looks incredible, and we couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out!
