Officially opened on September 12, 2008, Whiskey Dick's is a play on words. Whether you did not fair well in grade school English or just missed it having a "duh" moment, it is a proper name. It is a variant of Richard, Rich, Rick... and ultimately Dick. We were warned the name was too clever for Scranton. However, we hold our city in high regards and that Scrantonians are intelligent enough to kn

ow better and enjoy the humor of the wordplay. Whiskey Dick's is located at a former dive bar, NJ's (aka Nelly's). Not the same place at all, we have been cleaning up the interior decor and clearing out the recluses. We hope you will help spread the good word and bury old stigma. You'll be pleasantly surprised once you walk through the doors. We offer a selection of more than 10 wines, 50 beers and 150 spirits in a quaint, cozy environment. We're often complimented as a Manhattan-style bar from native New Yorkers.
