So proud of Darryl and A Little Pizza Heaven ❤️

Today, Darryl was honored with the “Small Business, BIG Heart Award” through United Way of Lackawanna, Wayne and Pike Counties for the work A Little Pizza Heaven has done supporting Dementia Friendly Dining, helping create a welcoming space for families and caregivers in our community.

This recognition means so much, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way. Congratulations, Darryl — so well deserved 🍕❤️

We’re still in awe and full of gratitude after our very first AFTD Food for Thought Fundraiser!

Every donation, basket ticket, and meal purchased helped us raise an incredible $8,000 🙌 — far beyond anything we imagined.

From friends and family to our loyal customers and community — you showed up with so much love, generosity, and heart. 💕

And we’re not stopping here! 🍕✨
We’re currently working with a community partner on their project for Dementia-Friendly Dining 💜 Stay tuned for more details coming next week!

As we come to the end of World FTD Awareness Week, we want to share a little of our story:

When we look back, we can see the first signs of FTD in Toni around age 59. She was just becoming a grandma—a role that filled her with so much joy, we still can’t put it into words.

She had a gift for kindness, love, nurturing, and empathy. Over time, FTD slowly stripped those gifts away.

It’s heartbreaking to watch someone you love change in ways you can’t understand. We share this to raise awareness—so other families might recognize the signs earlier.

Most of all, we’re reminded to hold tight to every memory, because we never know how quickly life can change. ❤️
