As we dive into 2026, looking back, this year was a spectacular year for Hendy’s, like insanely spectacular. Depsite the economy and tarriffs and everything out of our control affecting our coffee world, our clients came through, our customers came through, and we had more people than ever let us into their world to share our coffee with them. Thank you.
A couple of thoughts on the different legs of Hendy’s:
- Hendy’s Coffee Cart. I don’t think anyone is fooled by thinking this isn’t our heavy hitter. Private events, markets, these are what pay the bills and allow us to be flexible with other aspects of our business for the love of the craft. We started the year on a sour note with a failed and canceled multi-month contract, and that rocked the boat a lot. But existing and new clients came through and 100+ events later, I end the year extremely grateful for the love and support I have for the Hendy’s Cart.
- Hendy’s Coffee Roasters. BIG milestone was hitting 1,000 roasts. Roasting is in our DNA, it’s what we started with 8 years ago, and the cart’s success allows us to be flexible with wholesale clients, shipping costs, and experiment with different beans for coffee-loving clients. We are able to keep our roasting leg as a passion, and that means the world to someone who would probably quit everything and just roast if my bills/family/baristas weren’t relying on the income from the rest of the business (I LOVE events, don’t get me wrong, but roasting is just my happy place 🥰)
- Hendy’s Coffee Overall. We launched a Kegerator for events with HUGE success since hitting the streets. Outside of that, we stayed as eco-friendly as possible, something we don’t talk about much but I think its important to do. We set a pretty agressive sales goal, hit that, set an even higher one, and just passed it in the last days of 2025, which is insane since that was our 2026 goal so now we have to come up with an even HIGHER and scarier number to aim for. Not a bad problem to have, but I don’t know how we’re going to do another year like this one haha.
