Mondello’s Italain Grill & Pizzeria

The True Taste of Italy Mondello's was founded based on a visit to Mondello Beach. I was visiting Palermo when I was in Sicily. They loved it. Buon Appetito.

I wanted to see Sicily, a place where my parents' culture was from. I have traveled the world, but when I saw Mondello Beach, the first thing that came to my mind was that this is heaven. This is absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever seen. At night, I went to Mondello Square where I experienced my culture. I had the time of my life with people I never knew before. I met so many wonderful people that night. We were having wine, dancing, laughing, and eating. The next day, I was cooking at a restaurant called Siciliano. I met the owner Marcello the night before at the square and he asks me to come and cook dinner for this family. It was a great experience cooking with his staff. When it was time to come back home, I had tears in my eyes. I said if I ever open another restaurant, I will call it Mondello's continuing the legacy of my mother Rosalia and my father Vinnie. A tradition of good culture and family, I brought Mondello's to Scottsdale. My mother Rosalia taught me how to cook at the age of 10. The first recipe my mother taught me was to cook with love, not your hands. Come and enjoy a rich tradition of culture, food, and family here at Mondello's Italian Grill and Pizzeria.
