🎃📚 HALLOWEEN BOOK DRIVE! 👻
Alright, you all loved my post yesterday which has me beyond excited! So here are some more details about the event.
The plan is to hold a Halloween event on 10/31 and if we have additional books, we’ll carry it over for an additional day. We’ve never done an event like this before, so I’m not sure what the turnout will look like right now… fingers crossed! 🤞
For now, we are looking for Halloween/spooky book donations! Books can be new or in excellent used condition and can be for any age range, including:
📚 Children’s books• Young Adult (YA) books • Adult books
Children’s books will be used for our Halloween event while YA and adult books will be added to our permanent free library space.
👻 DON’T HAVE BOOKS TO DONATE? No worries! I’ve already found a good selection of affordable books if you’d rather contribute toward purchasing them! You can Venmo any amount you feel comfortable with to TheHoneyBean (Vanessa) and use the 📖 book emoji so I know it’s specifically for the book drive. I’ll leave this option available through 10/19 and will use the funds donated to purchase as many children’s books as possible so we have them in time for the event.
📍 Book Drop Off Info
Any books you’d like to donate can be brought in during business hours (posted everywhere online) OR be left on the BACK PORCH of the bakery. Go around the back to the GROUND FLOOR, maroon porch. It’s protected from the weather and has security cameras to prevent any spooky suspicious behavior. I check back there daily so donated items won’t be sitting outside for long.
Again, thank you SO much for all the excitement around this event and for helping us make this little Halloween event happen! Reading is so essential and we’re beyond excited to help our community get more books in everyone’s hands!
