The Florence A neighborhood restaurant that highlights local and regional ingredients using Italian technique and background

Chef and Restaurateur Hugh Acheson brought The Florence to Savannah in the summer of 2014. The Florence is led by Chef Kyle Jacovino who has worked with Hugh for some time; at Hugh's restaurants Five & Ten and Empire State South. The Florence is Italian focused southern fare with ingredients that celebrate the town of Savannah and our region. Kyle brings extensive Italian background; both in perso

nal heritage and culinary inclinations and Steven Grubbs has a wine program focused on delightful Italian wines; known and unknown. The restaurant also features a full service coffee program, a cocktail list featuring Italian-centric cocktails and a beer list with Italian leanings. The Florence is located at 1 West Victory, in a restored ice factory that was built in the late 1800s.

Savannah Georgia it was a pleasure serving you however, June 25th will be our last dinner service. We thank our patrons for their support, chef for his incredible dedication and hard work, crafting unique and flavorful dishes, the back of house devotion to cooking those dishes every night, and the front of house for serving them every night. We have an unconditional love for what we do and that's why we do it, onward we must go.

We have been spoiled by canewaters lettuces for the past six months but in savannah it gets so hot by this time of year they won’t grow. But why buy these lettuces from another state when we can buy these beautiful cucumbers and tomatoes grown with care an hour down the road." - Here is our new salad. Cucumber & Tomato whipped ricotta, candied guanciale, flowring basil, fennel frond, aged red wine vinaigrette, buttermilk and spiced pecans
