Shout-Out to all the hard-working volunteers from the Benton County Agriculture Society! We saw them working so hard all week to make it one of the best county fairs anywhere... we appreciate you!
And of course, THANK YOU to all our customers who stopped by the booth, many of you we saw multiple times. Some of you, even every single day... Wow! We feel so lucky to have such loyal customers. Loose-meat sandwich lovers have three reasons to celebrate at this year’s Benton County Fair.

Maid-Rite franchise owners Terry and Katie Anderson will celebrate an anniversary trifecta linked to the iconic sandwich typically topped with mustard, dill pickles and sometimes cheese.

The Maid-Rite Corp. in Urbandale, Iowa, is celebrating its 100 anniversary. St. Cloud Maid-Rite turns 80 years old this year, and the Andersons have owned the local franchise since 1986. When the couple bought the franchise, the fair booth came with the purchase, Terry said.
